This submission form is for an upcoming group exhibition presented by Black Creatives RVA in partnership with the Library of Virginia.

The exhibition invites Black visual creatives to share work that explores storytelling through visual expression. Submissions are open to a wide range of visual mediums and creative approaches.

What to expect if selected:

If your work is selected for Stories We Carry, you can expect the following:

  • You will receive a confirmation email with next steps and timeline details.

  • You will be asked to complete a Library of Virginia loan agreement.

  • Your work will be installed on January 30 and displayed at the Library of Virginia until February 28.

  • Your name and work will be clearly credited in the exhibition and related promotional materials.

  • You will be invited to attend the opening event on January 31 from 12–3 p.m.

Artists retain full ownership of their work. Any sales inquiries will be handled directly between the artist and interested buyers.
